Ellen Makunike completed an Honours degree in Surveying & Geomatics at the Midlands State University in Zimbabwe in June 2011. By then, she had made some ties already in South Africa with some survey companies she had worked with as a student since June 2009. She worked on various engineering projects including pipelines, Township beacon relocations, and topographical surveys. Immediately after completing her tertiary studies she relocated to Johannesburg to carry on with her career path as a Surveyor.
Ellen joined CDJ Land Surveyors in March 2012 as a surveyor, worked through the years and became a registered Professional Land Surveyor. Now she holds the position of a Survey Manager in the company. This position is a supporting pillar to the directors, managing the field surveyors, ensuring that every survey job goes smoothly and with utmost quality from pre-calculations, the fieldwork all up until the final deliverables. Passion: My passion lies in making a difference in the survey world by going that extra mile in problem solving, spending that extra time on my work and warranting the client the best possible result with every survey challenge that arise.

Antonie Pienaar

Antonie joined CDJ Land Surveyors in 2007. He completed his B.Tech Surveying Degree in 2013 at Tshwane University of Technology. Antonie has more than 11 years’ experience in the survey industry.
Antonie’s focus is mainly engineering surveys, working closely with teams on site to ensure that each projects keep momentum with minimal delays.
His passion: “I strive to make each project my own. I enjoy working with the well-oiled team at CDJ where we rely on each other to make every project a success.”

Itumeleng Mothiba
Technical Surveyor
Itumeleng Mothiba completed his National Diploma in Surveying at Tshwane University of Technology in 2012. He had already started his Survey career as a Student Survey Technician in 2011 in Limpopo (Polokwane), working with varies Professional Land Surveyors, Eskom, The Department of Rural Development and Land Reform and Tshwane University of Technology. He joined CDJ in 2013 as a Survey Technician, later specialising in Construction Engineering Surveys in the company. Aiding in the completion of varies Solar Farm Projects (Adams, Pulida, Jasper) and Multi-storey concrete buildings (Vodacom park, Pine Haven Netcare, Village Walk) in the 5 years with CDJ.
His passion: “ to see a client happy with a finished product he/she first had on paper materialised to reality, having leave a project with no comebacks. Feels great being apart of a family like CDJ, having a hand in our growth as a company and a small part of South Africa’s development.”

Josias Dube
Technical Surveyor
Josias Dube graduated with a BSc. Honours in Survey and Geomatics from Midlands State university in 2012. His career started in Zimbabwe during the land reform, concentrating mostly on farm subdivisions he also performed township surveys and topographical surveys. After deciding to follow his dream to work in built environment he briefly moved to Angola where he worked on several construction projects. He then moved to South Africa in 2015 where he worked on various engineering projects. Josias joined CDJ in August 2017 as a Surveyor he works with the field teams aiding in the completion of various engineering and cadastral projects.
His passion: “There is nothing that excites me more than helping people find solutions that meet their specific needs timeously and through cost effective ways”.
